My New Ironlak Strikers

I got my new Ironlak Strikers last week and after playing around with them for a couple of days I must say they are awesome!

I bought series five which contains twenty different colours, some better than others, and comes in a little case/pouch thingo. I also got a black Striker as they're sold separately and was gifted a Mint Green Striker in my VIP bag from the Analogue/Digital conference. My favourite colours would have to be the Vivid Pink and Lemon Yellow, the colours produced from these markers are so vibrant.

The Strikers themselves are almost the same as Copic markers (if you've ever used them) but are more affordable. The only real difference I can see so far is that the plastic casing of the pen is obviously cheaply made but as long as it doesn't leak or dry out I'm happy.

Check out my illustration in the photo for this post for an example of what they can do, I'm quite pleased with the results and they are just fun to use. You can layer the ink to create different tones for each colour, my only complaint would be that they bleed like crazy so I wouldn't recommend drawing on thin paper. Oh and I wish they had a version with a thin tip and a thiner tip rather than the chisel tip (I rarely use it).
